Driver Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 10, 2026

1. Who We Are

BLCK Mobility, a trade name of Vermillion Group Inc ("BLCK", "we", "us") operates the BLCK DRVR chauffeur application for approved drivers. We are the data controller for personal data processed through the app and are committed to protecting your privacy under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Danish data protection law. This policy covers the BLCK DRVR (driver) app; passengers are covered by the separate BLCK privacy policy.

2. Data We Collect

— Account & identity: your name, phone number, and a one-time SMS code used to sign you in. Your access is provisioned by invitation.

— Location data: your device location, including in the background and while the app is closed, when you are on shift or on an active trip. We use precise location and significant-location changes to detect availability, match you to nearby trips, navigate to pickups and dropoffs, and share live ETAs with the passenger. Location is collected only while you are on duty.

— Motion & activity data: motion and activity signals (for example, whether the device is in a moving vehicle) used to detect when you are driving and manage your availability between trips.

— Vehicle proximity (Bluetooth): Bluetooth signals used to detect and confirm your assigned vehicle and your availability between trips.

— Shift & trip records: your shifts, breaks, assigned and completed trips, and earnings summaries shown for your reference. BLCK displays these figures in the app; payment to you is handled by your fleet, not by BLCK.

— Communications: messages you exchange with operations, clients, and your team in the in-app conversations.

— Device & usage data: standard technical data such as app version, device type, push notification tokens, and diagnostic logs.

Driver approval, including any identity or compliance verification, is handled by your fleet during onboarding — the BLCK driver app does not collect or store verification documents.

3. Why We Process Your Data

— To create and secure your driver account and verify your identity and eligibility to drive.

— To detect your availability, match and dispatch trips to you, and deliver chauffeur trips.

— To navigate to pickups and dropoffs and share accurate ETAs with passengers.

— To operate the in-app conversations between you, operations, and clients.

— To calculate and display your shift activity and earnings figures for your reference. Payment to you is settled by your fleet off the BLCK platform.

— To maintain safety, prevent fraud, and improve the service.

— To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

4. Legal Basis (GDPR)

— Performance of a contract — to operate your engagement as a BLCK driver and deliver the service (Art. 6(1)(b)).

— Legitimate interest — to dispatch trips, maintain safety, secure, operate, and improve the service (Art. 6(1)(f)).

— Consent — for device permissions such as background location, motion, and Bluetooth, which you grant in iOS and can change at any time in Settings (Art. 6(1)(a)).

— Legal obligation — where we must retain records (Art. 6(1)(c)).

5. Who We Share Data With

We share data only with providers that help us run the service:

— Amazon Web Services (cloud infrastructure, EU region).

— Mapbox (maps and geocoding).

— Our SMS provider (one-time verification codes).

— Operations, clients, and fleet partners, as needed to assign and deliver trips. Your fleet receives the trip and earnings data needed to pay you; BLCK does not process your payments.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Data Retention

We keep your data while your driver account is active and as needed to provide the service. Shift and trip records are retained as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. Background location is processed only while you are on shift to operate dispatch and live tracking, and is discarded shortly after your shift ends — it is not retained as a long-term location history. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR you may access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your data, request data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at .

8. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your driver account and associated personal data at any time from within the app, or by emailing . Some records may be retained where required by law.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security review.

10. Children

BLCK DRVR is intended for adult professional drivers and is not directed to anyone under 18.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
